SNP policy will cost Scottish homeowners £469 each before one watt of electricity by 2020

THE true cost of Alex Salmond’s wind farm obsession can today be revealed as £1.2billion, dealing a crippling blow to families all over Scotland. Paula Murray, The Express

This is not a report by Delingpole or another anti wind Journalist. Although if the Politicians read Delingpole instead of the reports from Scottish Renewables they might learn something useful for a change. No, this is a learned report from the Energy Think Tank, Scientific Alliance Scotland, from Prof. Tony Trewavas of Edinburgh University. Of course the Scottish Ministers aren’t listening as they have their eyes set on Independence and in their view the only way forward is their crackpot plans for Renewable Energy and the only deliverable type in their time scale has to be wind. The fact that the sums don’t add up has passed them by. Common sense tells anyone that buying infrastructure from abroad will decimate the balance of payments. Using foreign engineers does not create Scottish jobs. Subsidising large corporate bodies whose profits will disappear abroad without paying tax will create a black hole in our social costs. Sorry, the First Minister isn’t listening. He is too busy spending half a million quid chasing the Ryder Cup. Must better for his ego than stark reality. Read the article and be concerned.

trewavasProf Trewavas is a plant biologist rather than an engineer but the whole climate ethos is based on CO2 and as every biologist will tell you CO2 is necessary for Photosynthesis: the building bricks of life. The SAS is a very pro industry think tank. Add those two elements together and perhaps we should listen carefully.
