About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.

Fantastic photographs, and fantastic views. Unfortunately, I don’t think even Salmond or his sidekick Ewing would dare to allow turbines to destroy this scienery. (Hope I never have to eat my words!!!!!!)
However, over the weekend, my family and I travelled up to Falls of Shin. Travelling over the B9176, we stopped at the viewpoint near Struie Hill, and looking over Bonar Bridge, the Kyle of Sutherland, and Carbisdale Castle. It was quite shocking to see the views beyond, to the NW , totally dominated by so many turbines.
Walking round a couple of the trails at Falls of Shin visitor centre, we came to the viewpoint on the green route. A fantastic view looking down onto the River Shin. Unfortunately this view was dominated by more turbines when looking towards the first viewpoint
How anyone can say these things enhance the views of Scotland, I just do not understand..
    Where will it all end?
