Bad day for Wind Developers in the Highlands

Today is the start of a long road for two wind farms and a line in the sand for another, Glenmorie and Dalnessie wind farms were objected to by Highland Council Planning despite support from Planners and Clath Liath was turned down by devolved powers of the Highland Council Planning Dept. Glenmorie and Dalnessie are both Section 36 and will automatically be referred to a Public Local Inquiry, whilst Clath Liath depends on whether the developers will refer this to the DEPA. All in all a terrible day for the wind industry and an excellent day for the many groups including MCof S, John Muir and the local Communities who fought a strong opposition to all three applications. About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.
