Today we have EDF (Electricité de France) continuing to blight the views across the Tees Bay, just over 1KM off the beach at Redcar, where 7 turbines are erected out of 27. The Secretary of State in the Labour government approved the Crown Estates development back in 2008, despite the locally Labour controlled Council objecting.

The turbines at 126mts high and EDF claim they will to produce enough power for 40,000 households (when the wind is blowing at optimum speed and ZERO homes when it is not)

EDF also claimed the completion would be on time and is currently now some 6 months late, so that will have an effect on their already spurious CO2 savings claims.

The photo is taken from my front door some 3 miles away.

About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.
