Lib-Dim Energy Future

You could not make this up. To save power in a Lib-Dim future, assuming after the next

Oh, Go on, go on. I made it with cold water, Mr. Clegg, just like you like it!

election they have any MPs, you will all be forced to buy kettles with two elements. One to boil your kettle when there is plenty of power and one when we are relying on wind. If a 3kw kettle boils in two minutes how long does it take to boil a 1kw kettle. Of course anyone not a Lib-Dim will tell you six minutes. And how much energy does it use. Exactly the same! Are these guys on the same planet. this is only one of a whole battalion of similar inanities. The Bishop Hill Blog says it all! Of course what we would actually need should the Lib-Dims retain any influence is a kettle which you can boil over a camp fire!

About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.

You have to give these guys credit for providing a bit of light relief in all the doom and gloom. I’m afraid I actually giggled when first reading it. Sadly first reaction was followed by despair when I remembered it wasn’t April 1. Must be v. embarrassing for the more intelligent members of the party – and there are some.
