Is Cornwall Sinking under wind and solar

Well when we get fed up with the midges and rain, never in Scotland!, we have tended to go down to the southwest, either Devon or Cornwall. Now it is a long drive from here so when we get there we really look forward to the beautiful views and beautiful beaches. After seeing these two maps I really don’t see a great deal of point driving all that distance to look at turbines and fields of steel and glass. What idiot conceived this and considered that it would not decimate the southwest tourist industry. We thought that we had some prime candidates for the funny farm up here in Hollyrood but I guess that Cornwall has a few too. Just to clarify, the photo with the turbine is wind farms and the one with the PV solar panels is solar farms.

About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.

Thanks for commenting on this. Many dots missing in both Devon and Cornwall so watch this space for part 2! Visit Cornwall – take note of these comments. When people no longer wish to live here, why on earth are visitors going to pay to travel and stay in a wind farm!???
