The following is Condition 9 of the Kenly, St Andrews University Wind Farm, approval report – what planet are these reporters living on? “No symbols, signs, logos or other lettering shall be displayed on any part of the wind turbines nor on any other buildings or structures, unless required by health and safety legislation, without the prior written approval of the planning authority. Reason: to avoid unnecessary signage in the rural environment in the interests of visual amenity.” That is, don’t stick signs on the turbines etc so as not to impact visual amenity – if this wasn’t so sick, it would be hilarious!!
Thanks to George Lindsay for introducing this element of farce!
