My latest Victor Meldrew moment -“I don’t believe it!”

Uni TurbyThe following is Condition 9 of the Kenly, St Andrews University Wind Farm, approval report – what planet are these reporters living on? “No symbols, signs, logos or other lettering shall be displayed on any part of the wind turbines nor on any other buildings or structures, unless required by health and safety legislation, without the prior written approval of the planning authority. Reason: to avoid unnecessary signage in the rural environment in the interests of visual amenity.” That is, don’t stick signs on the turbines etc so as not to impact visual amenity – if this wasn’t so sick, it would be hilarious!!

Thanks to George Lindsay for introducing this element of farce!

About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.
