Sorry if this is getting too much like a climate non change blog but the whole emphasis on wind has been around our needs to reduce Carbon and reduce the trace gas CO² in the environment. That wind, despite the millions of tons of CO² savings promised by the Renewable Environmental Statements for every wind farm, actually probably increases CO² production due to the destruction of peat bogs, the use of thousands of tons of concrete in the bases, the steel used in the towers, the fibreglass in the blades, the transport foot prints and, of course, the spinning reserve for when the wind doesn’t blow. All these, in plain sight to all that can see, are of course described as myths by the wind industry. A bit like their myths that the wind is free. So is coal and gas. It is it’s extraction and delivery that costs. Wind is clean. Tell that to Chinese neodymium producers. The fact is that CO² is not a poison but a staple of life. Read this article.

Wind V. Coal
Quote of the Decade
"The trouble with wind farms is that they have a very large spatial footprint for a piddling little bit of electricity. You would need 8oo turbines to produce the output of a coal-fired power station."
