This article in the Times is very interesting. We could add further names such as Fairburn and evidence that SSE know but seem not to care. Or may we say that they care about their shareholders dividends more. Don’t knock that, your pension fund may well be a shareholder! That four were built by SSE and yet SSE are not aware of any issues reflects the same attitude originally displayed at the Wester Balblair sub station(Beauly-Denny) where noise has been an issue for more than six months and at Fairburn Wind Farm where Scatwell residents are still battling with SSE to accept any responsibilty. Councils prevaricate and residents live on tranquillisers and sleeping pills. Do we trust the Scottish Government to do a fair and transparent review? We shall see. The good news is that the industry is worried. That suggests that they have something to hide and are not confident that the Scottish Government will brush it under the carpet this time.

Wind V. Coal
Quote of the Decade
"The trouble with wind farms is that they have a very large spatial footprint for a piddling little bit of electricity. You would need 8oo turbines to produce the output of a coal-fired power station."
