Methane Gas drilling in North Ayrshire to Stirling

Dart Energy are planning to drill some twenty two wells for methane extraction from North Ayreshire to Stirling. Friends of the Earth are raising the temperature by talking of fracking and Climate Change. Obviously used as emotive buzz words they have nothing to do with this application which is now the subject of a PLI. Methane extraction from coal beds is very different from gas fracking at depth. Methane generation is used in the rest of the UK at relatively small scale power stations using gas from land fill sites. It does have it’s concerns and due care and consideration is necessary. However FoE are milking the coo’. And that is where we move to next. Is this coming to a farm near you?

Actually before you all shout cruelty and call in Compassion in World Farming, this was an experiment on ten cows to calculate the amount of green house gases cattle release into the environment. Tell the eco-loons that this is natural and vegetariansP1000642 probably exhude more noxious gases than the rest of humanity so do they suggest we cull them too! Interesting exercise to try and fit these to my Highland Coos but I suggest that they would not last too long before the horns found their mark!
