Something every farmer should consider before hosting wind turbines

This is a good article that every farmer considering wind turbines should read. Entering into a deal with wind farm developers as akin to dining with the devil. Careful less you sell your soul. Bucolic photos of cattle grazing near turbines ignores the data that suggests animals and turbines are not good neighbours; for the animals! Original small wind has now given way to large turbines that the Grid cannot easily accommodate and whose individual output will do nothing for the national need but be entirely reliant on decreasing subsidies. Mechanical failure and decommissioning will be a cost to the farmer that he will be hard pressed to cover. Also consider the community and it’s reaction. Do you really want to upset your neighbours, destroy their house prices and quality of life and become Johnny No Friends?
