Original radio Programme

I spent yesterday with a quite well regarded Climber. Mountains, not Social. It amused me to hear that he is a great fan of the Hitch-hikers guide to the Galaxy. That set me thinking about Global Warming, Climate Change and the IPCC. The belief that by building turbines we can change the future. Never mind that CO² is not a poison but an element of life itself.

There is an interesting line in the Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy. It correctly points out that “the very last thing that human beings need is a genuine sense of perspective because we will see how minuscule we all are.”

I have regularly remarked that the impact of man on nature is  as a an ant on an elephants back. In the scale of nature we are as nothing and when nature bites back we get well and truly bitten.

About Dougal Quixote

Slightly mad. Always believes a cup is half full so continues to tilt at Wind Turbines and the politicians that seem to believe it is their god given right to ruin Scotland for a pot of fool's gold.
