The Reporter to the Scottish Government has refused the appeal by PI Renewables against the refusal by The Highland Council against the Carn Gorm Wind Farm. He also rejected the claim for expenses against SNH. Is it not about time that wind farm developers are fined for spurious appeals. It is tying up the time of the courts, wages of the many public servants involved and stresses out those under the Damocles sword of the wind farm for months on end. The refusal makes interesting reading as the reporters concerns were not limited to Carn Gorm.

Wind V. Coal
Quote of the Decade
"The trouble with wind farms is that they have a very large spatial footprint for a piddling little bit of electricity. You would need 8oo turbines to produce the output of a coal-fired power station."
